Mailed from Laramie, Wyoming to Louis Robert Coatney of Galesburg, Illinois on June 15, 1951:
Thurs Nite.
Dear Lou: - This where we're staying all night on ot way to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. We certainly have seen the sights today. Came over from Glenwood via Loveland Pass through Rock Mtns. Nat'l Park which were over 12000 feet high. The snowbanks were way higher than the car. Daddy took a picture of me beside a snowbanks as high as my head or higher. We saw snowplow machines clearing the snow away as we would have a nice road to 90 on. We enjoyed it but it would have made you tired driving so much. Love, Mommy.
