I found your blog while searching for some place to stay when i visit miami in May. I use to stay at The Blue Mist every summer with my grandma. (even though she only lived a short drive to Miramar) We played Bingo and I remember our door opened onto the beach. Such a sad loss of all those adorable motels in North Miami Beach...my grandma had so many friends there who had come every summer for 40 years or so. Thank you for posting these pictures!

ReplyDeleteThank for posting these pics of the Blue Mist Motel. The first vacation for two teenage girls from Ontario, Canada who spent their holiday there in 1968. We thought we were movie star and had a really good time. Is the Motel gone now?
My parents and I stayed at the Blue Mist, January '56. I was 1 year/3months old. I still have a copy of the Blue Mist "Bugle", announcing guests for that period.
