I'd avoid this place. I was in Van Horn with my husband for two days when our car broke down and we needed to have it repaired. We decided to stay at the the Village Inn Motel due to it being advertised as cheap, and they allowed pets. The women who runs it started off as being very nice when it was obvious we were going to give her money. Come the next day that changed however after we had checked out. I was outside with my dogs, sitting in a chair near a vacant room, quietly waiting for my husband, and the women came outside and became very different. She was extremely rude, and essentially blew up in my face telling me I couldn't be there because she couldn't rent the room I was sitting in front of with my dogs there (who were just sitting there with me, being totally quiet and well behaved), and if I didn't leave she was going to charge me for the room I was sitting in front of. She then promptly walked away and slammed the office door extremely hard... I was really in shock. She went from being super nice to super nasty. We were planning to stay there a second night had things with our car taken a little longer then planned, but there was noooo way we were giving them another penny. The fact that they have my credit card number is terrifying.
ReplyDeleteIf you want a nice, cheap motel with friendly staff, go to the Value Inn up the street. They also allow pets and charge $5 cheaper on the deposits too! :)
