Ash at 7th - San Diego, Calif.
Mailed from San Diego, California to Mrs. J.D. Gordon of Battle Creek, Michigan on April 1, 1947:
Quite a come down in hotel but still we can take it in this grand sunshine. Just having breakfast ready for a tour around the city. Then to to Mexico this P.M. It is quite a thrill but we will be glad to see you Sunday. Love. Nell.
The world's first outdoor hydroelectric-ram "Glass" elevator follows a pathway on the outside face of the El Cortez Hotel, to its famous 15th floor Sky Room and gives its passengers a breath-taking view of the city, San Diego Bay and the blue Pacific.
Mailed from San Diego, California to Miss Lina Fennem of Beaverton, Oregon:
Dear Lina:
Your letter received Tues. Today we are leaving San Diego. Plan to be back Saturday. I will write again. Everyone here are well. Kiss Michael for me. See you in a few days - Mother
